Kyiv Baroque Fest – 2024

 The tafelklavier is a rare and distinctive type of clavier that gained popularity during the Galant era and the early 19th century. Its delicate, shimmering sound, rich with overtones, opens a gateway to a unique musical world. The tafelklavier featured in this concert is an extraordinary historical instrument from the early 19th century, lovingly restored by its owner and performer, Kyiv-based clavier player and researcher Nataliya Sikorska. The concert program features a diverse selection of clavier music, with a particular focus on works by Polish composers Maria Szymanowska, Michał Kleofas Ogiński, and Karol Lipiński.
